You regard them for being a symbol of unmatched luxury and comfort on four wheels in a way few others have or will.
You admire the E class, the melange of design and luxury, in a space that celebrates both.
You’ve been awed by the magnetic charm of the GL-Class for all that it brings to the fore.
Now prepare to be dazzled by the science and tech that Mercedes have brought to the AMG EQS 53, a car fittingly described as India’s most expensive EV.
In a massive departure from the space of fuel-guzzling cars, Mercedes have, as of a few hours ago, launched the EQS 53, their second all-electric offering in India after the EQC.
This is a major thrust to the all-encompassing AMG line-up, such a hit in the beating heart of the sub-continent.
Billed as the most expensive EV on offer on Indian roads, Mercedes are already set to offer, not long from now, the EQS 580, which will come as CKD.
Sleek looking with a coupe-esque look on the roof, the EQS 53 with its AMG-inspired alloy wheels and the rear spoiler is priced at a whopping INR 2.45 cr (ex-showroom).
Worth the price? Who are we to decide for you?
Having already been launched in the global markets the last year, the Mercedes Benz EQS 53 is at the epicenter of the German icon’s vision to compete in the exceedingly competitive all-electric sphere.
At a time when zero-emission cars are no longer the primer that “could” fight the climate change-infested world but are already the much-vaunted solution, it’s heartening to see Mercedes with an offering that could potentially be pathbreaking.
That’s especially in the luxury space!
But one wonders, just how might the Stuttgart-based legend market the latest offering in India given Audi with the eTron and BMW i4 and iX are already around?
Interesting times then ahead of us, isn’t it?
